After checking my computer system files and registry and I came to know that Internet Explorer consumes less resources than Mozilla Firefox.Though Firefox is preferred over Internet Explorer but users who have limited internet connection should use Internet Explorer instead of Firefox 2.0.0.18.

Internet Explorer uses less data transfer than Firefox 2.0.0.18.So it is adviced to use IE if you have limited Internet plan.

If you want to use Mozilla Firefox you can download it from right sidebar.

Trick to boost up Internet Explorer :

>>Go to "Start" and click on "Run"
>>Enter "regedit" and hit "Ok" and now the Registry Editor will open.
>>Expand "HKEY_CURRENT_USER"
>>Expand Software, Microsoft, Windows, Current Version
>>Click on Internet Settings
>>MaxConnectionPer1_0Server and MaxConnectionPerServer indicates the maximum number of connections per page
>>Double click on one of these registries to change it. Set the radio button to DECIMAL and increase the values from default to a higher value, for example 10. Do the same with the other registry.

Just type crack: app name on Google home page

example: crack: flashget 1.6a...

and you will get the link for the give application name as..

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&q=crack%3A+flashget+1.6a

To enable multiple logins in you Yahoo! Messenger, Follow these steps :

  • Click Start Menu And Click On “RUN”
  • Type “regedit” and click OK
  • You will see the REGISTRY EDITOR
  • Navigate to “ HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Yahoo/Pager/Test “

Registry Tweaks

You can edit most settings by opening regedit (start -> regedit),
and navigating to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Talk.
The "Google/Google Talk" key has several sub-keys that hold different option values:
Accounts: This one has subkeys for each different account that has logged in on the client. These keys have different values that store the username, password and connection options.
Autoupdate: Stores the current version information. When the client checks for updates it compares Google's response with these values. If an update is needed, it will download and update the new version.
Options: This is the most interesting part, where most of the current hacks should be used (keep reading).
Process: Stores the process ID. Probably used by Google Talk to detect if it's already running or not.
1.) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Talk\Options\show_pin
If 1, shows a "pin" next to the minimize button that keeps the windows on top of all the other open windows when clicked.
2.)HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Talk\Options\view_show_taskbutton
If 0, hides the taskbar button, and leaves the tray icon only, when the window is shown
3.)HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Talk\Options\away_inactive
If 1, status will be set as Away after the specified number of minutes.
4.)HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Talk\Options\away_screensaver
If 1, status will be set as Away after the specified number of minutes.
5.)HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Talk\Options\inactive_minutes
Number of inactive minutes to become away if auto-away is on.

Special

- A message is restricted to 32767 characters.
- Certain smileys are recognized by Google Talk and will be highlighted in blue color.
:-O B-) :'( :O
- To bold text in a Google Talk conversation, put a * around the word(s). Ex: example: Care for a *date*? –> Care for a date?
- To italicize text in a Google Talk converstation, put a _ around the word(s). Ex: example: Care for a _date_? –> Care for a date?
- You cannot bold nor italicize more than 100 characters at a time. If you exceed the limit, the desired effect will not take place.

- You can right click on the message notification pop-up window to close it.

- To change the display name on Google Talk, you need to go to Gmail account properties and change it there.
- In your away message you can add a website URL, and it will be clickable in conversation windows.

A hidden game uncovered in Google Talk:

Open the about dialog box right-clicking on the Google Talk icon in the windows taskbar. In the about screen you can see ‘play 23 21 13 16 21 19 . 7 1 13 5'. Each number represents a letter. a=1, b=2, c=3 … When you decrypt this message you get: ‘play wumpus.game’. To play the game, invite wumpus.game@gmail.com as a friend, then type “Play”.n play

Play Music
It's possible to broadcast music, MP3, etc.. through Google Talk.
Unplug your microphone. Double click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner. This will open up "Volume Control". Select "Options" and then "Properties". Then check the button next to "Recording" then click OK. You may also have to change your setting under Mixer Device. Now the Recording Control screen should be up. On my computer I selected "Wave Out Mix". Click on the green phone in Google Talk and call your friend.

Confrence Calls!!
What you need to do to have conference calls: Open up a copy of Google Talk on all computers with which you wish to conference. After one copy is opened make a new shortcut for Google Talk but at the end of it add /nomutex. If you installed it to the default folder then your shortcut should read "C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe" /nomutex. Open 2nd instances of the software on every user's computer. After this start a chain: User 1 should connect on one instance to user 2. User 2 will connect on his second instance to user 3. User 3 will connect using his second instance back to user 1. With this chain everyone is connected to everyone.

Nickname & Status Message

You can't change your nickname in a way that other people will see it change. Every nickname in the Google Talk contactlist is the part that is before @gmail.com (only the alphabetical characters are used) or the name you chosen for your GMail account. To change the nickname need to go to your Gmail account and change the name there. Choose Settings, Accounts, and then Edit info. Click on the second radio button, and enter your custom name. As a result all of your emails will have that nick as well, there is no way to seperate the two. You can add a website in your custom message, it will be clickable when someone opens a conversation window with you.

Contacts :

You don't need to say Yes or No when someone wants to add you as a friend; you can simply ignore it, the request will go away. (On the other hand, someone with whom you chat often will automatically turn to be your friend, unless you disable this).
The Gmail account 'user@gmail.com' can't be invited as your friend.

Use Google Talk via a Web Browser
You want to use Google Talk anywhere ? Follow these guidelines :)
Step 1: Opens your favorite web browser at the following address :

Step 2: Follow the instructions of the Page.
Step 3: You can talk with your friends
Google's Secret Command-Line Parameters
There are a few secret parameters you can add to Google Talk and make it function differently.
The most important, I think, is /nomutex, which allows you to run more than one instance of GT. Here are the others:
/nomutex: allows you to open more than one instance of Google Talk
/autostart: when Google Talk is run with this parameter, it will check the registry settings to see if it needs to be started or not. If the "Start automatically with Windows" option is unchecked, it won't start.
/forcestart: same as /autostart, but forces it to start no matter what option was set.
/S upgrade: Used when upgrading Google Talk
/register: registers Google Talk in the registry, includig the GMail Compose method.
/checkupdate: check for newer versions
/plaintextauth: uses plain authentication mechanism instead then Google's GAIA mechanism. Used for testing the plain method on Google's servers.
/nogaiaauth: disables GAIA authentication method. The same as above.
/factoryreset: set settings back to default.
/gaiaserver servername.com: uses a different GAIA server to connect to Google Talk. Used for debug purposes only, there are no other known GAIA servers.
/mailto email@host.com: send an email with Gmail
/diag: start Google Talk in diagnostic mode
/log: probably has something to do with the diagnostic logging
/unregister: ?
/embedding: ?
To add these, open up your GT shortcut, and where it says "Target:" add one or more of these inside the quotations, but after the .exe part.

Customize Internet Explorer Title bar

This tip won't make your computer any faster but may help personalize your computer experience. Open Registry by going to START-RUN and typing REGEDIT. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet. Explorer\Main. In right hand panel look for string "Window Title" and change its value to whatever custom text you want to see.

Here’s what you do:
In the URL bar, type....
“about:config” and press enter. This will bring up the configuration “menu” where you can change the parameters of Firefox.

Note that these are what I’ve found to REALLY speed up my Firefox significantly - and these settings seem to be common among everybody else as well. But these settings are optimized for broadband connections - I mean with as much concurrent requests we’re going to open up with pipelining… lol… you’d better have a big connection.

Double Click on the following settins and put in the numbers below - for the true / false booleans - they’ll change when you double click.

Code:

browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs – true
network.http.max-connections – 48
network.http.max-connections-per-server – 16
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy – 8
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server – 4
network.http.pipelining – true
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests – 100
network.http.proxy.pipelining – true
network.http.request.timeout – 300

One more thing… Right-click somewhere on that screen and add a NEW -> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0”. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. Since you’re broadband - it shouldn’t have to wait.

Now you should notice you’re loading pages MUCH faster now!

Add A Url Address Bar To The Taskbar

You can add an Internet URL address bar to your Windows XP taskbar. Doing so will let you type in URLs and launch Web pages without first launching a browser. It will also let you launch some native Windows XP applications in much the same way as you would via the Run menu (so you could type in calc to launch the calculator or mspaint to launch Microsoft Paint.) Here's how you add the address bar:

1. Right-click on the taskbar, select Toolbars, and then click Address.

2. The word Address will appear on your taskbar.

3. Double click it to access it.

4. If that doesn't work, your taskbar is locked. You can unlock it by right-clicking on the taskbar again and uncheck Lock the Taskbar.

NOTE: You may also need to grab the vertical dotted lines beside the word Address and drag it to the left to make the Address window appear.

Every time we make a change in the settings and default configuration of Mozilla Firefox, these changes are stored and can be reloaded. This is handy to transfer them to another PC or maintain a backup of all our Firefox settings. Along with the Firefox settings, you can also store bookmarks and passwords. How?

The saved file is called a profile.
One can also create multiple profiles if and when necessary.

 Before you proceed to make a new profile, make sure that you have exited Firefox.

 Once Firefox is closed, press [Windows] + [R] on your keyboard to open the ‘Run’ dialog box.

 Now type firefox.exe –ProfileManager and click ‘OK’.

 Click ‘Next’ in the ‘Create New Profile’ dialog box that appears.

 As the last step, enter a new Profile name in the dialog box and click ‘Finish’.
You don’t necessarily have to change the name. You can change the location of the
profile by clicking on the ‘Choose Folder’ button.

Your settings are now saved for future use. On clicking on ‘Finish’, your newly saved profile will be listed in the ‘Choose User Profile’ dialog box. These can be loaded later by following a similar procedure.

Firefox supports tabs that are used to open multiple pages within a single browser window. You can also have the option here to open multiple home pages on individual tabs at once just
the way Internet Explorer 7 does it.

When Firefox starts up, only one tab is opened and each time you want to surf another site, you need to press [Ctrl]+ [T] to manually open a new tab and then type in the address. Here’s how you can customize Firefox to automatically open new tabs with your favorite websites on start up.

Open multiple home pages the moment you
open Mozilla Firefox or when you click ‘Home’

 Select ‘Tools | Options’.

 Select the ‘Main’ tab.

 In the ‘Startup’ group, select ‘Show my home page’ from the ‘When Firefox
starts’ drop-down list.

 In the ‘Home Page’ section, type in the name of of the sites you wish to open by separating each one by a ‘|’ (vertical line or Pipe).

 Click ‘OK’.

The next time you open Firefox all these sites will load automatically.

It is a good habit to classify and store your bookmarks in folders so that it is easier to find them. But how do you do it? The bookmarks will appear in a categorized manner in the Bookmarks
menu. Creating a bookmark folder is quite simple.

 Select ‘Bookmarks’ | ‘Organize Bookmarks’.

 In the ‘Bookmarks Manager’ toolbox, select ‘New Folder’. Enter the name of the folder and the optional description.

 Click ‘OK’.
To save your bookmarked page in the created folder:

 Click on ‘Bookmarks | Bookmark This Page’.

 In the ‘Add Bookmark’ dialog box, click on the ‘Create In’ drop-down list and select the name of the newly created folder.

 Click ‘OK’.
This process makes it easy for you to organize your bookmarked pages based
on your preferences.

The first way to get ip is:-

1. Goto start > run type cmd and open.. or goto start > programs > accessories > command prompt and click.

2. type netstat hit enter

3. connect to he person (direct connect) with the chat program of your choice. MSN, yahoo, AIM, etc. This can be done simply by opening a conversation with the target or sending them any file.

4. type netstat again in the command prompt.

collective data should appear in the cmd box..ie: (infomation censored)

The second one is:-

Get IP via MSN logging:

You will need to go into tools > options > Connections > Advanced settings and click the Connection Logging checkbox..
open up a Conversation with the target..
Send them like a blank notepad or any file..
Wait for them to cancel it or accept it, either works..

After your done that go back turn off your logs or else they will constantly update while your on msn.

then goto My documents > Received files > MsnMsgr (text file)
Search (ctrl+f) “Connecttoip” and you will your selected items..

Speed up your browsing

Here's a great tip to speed up your browsing of Windows XP machines. Its actually a fix to a bug installed as default in Windows that scans shared files for Scheduled Tasks. And it turns out that you can experience a delay as long as 30 seconds when you try to view shared files across a network because Windows is using the extra time to search the remote computer for any Scheduled Tasks. The actual browsing speed of both the Internet & Windows Explorers improve significantly after applying it since it doesn't search for Scheduled Tasks anymore. Here's how :

Open up the Registry and go to :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Explorer/RemoteComputer/NameSpace

Under that branch, select the key :

{D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}

and delete it.

This fix is so effective that it doesn't require a reboot and you can almost immediately determine yourself how much it speeds up your browsing processes.

Online image editors are in a rage these days. Everyday, you hear about the release of a new online photo editor that claims to be the next big thing.

From among the great number of online editors, we have hand picked some of the best ones that we found to be are noteworthy. With each site description, we have tried to tell you how or what feature of the editor forced us to include it in the list.

To bookmark this page in delicious, you can use This Link

6. Picture2Life

Picture2life is just another online image editor. But what makes it stand apart is the radical UI design for an image editor. Unlike all classical picture editors with toolboxes and a number of buttons, Picture2life has a descriptive side panel stacked into four vertical tabs – Quick Fixes, One Clicks, All and Featured. Selecting any tab replaces the sidebar with a new sidebar that contains a number of options like Brightness, Color, Contrast etc. But, instead of showing them as buttons, it takes your picture and shows you how the picture will look if the effect is applied and uses this as thumbnails for the buttons. Pretty useful for beginners who don’t know the difference between stuff like hue and saturation (and that includes us).
